sin

The influence of sin on self and consequently, others, is strong,
but stronger is the power of the Holy spirit by which we can overcome sin.

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

However, complacency in the sense of overlooking the reality of the prowling devil and his dangerous schemes will undoubtedly be a fatal error. Fortunately I have the sword of the spirit, the word of God which is life with which I can battle against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms!
